Squamous-Cell Carcinoma

Squamous cell carcinoma is much less frequent than basal cell carcinoma and occurs in an older age group.  Its propensity for metastasis depends on several factors including the degree of differentiation, depth of penetration, and location.

Appearance: May present as papules, plaques, nodules, or tumors; tumors may develop in neglected lesions.
